Badgers rout Northwestern on Homecoming

Wisconsin wins 35-6, after bye week.
After a week off, the Wisconsin Badgers looked impressive on Saturday afternoon, routing #18 ranked Northwestern, 35-6 at Camp Randall Stadium. 

With the win, the Badgers improved to 4-2 overall, 2-1 in the Big Ten.

Once again, the Badgers were led by a strong rushing attack, gaining 286 yards on the ground.  Melvin Gordon had 172 yards on 22 carries and a score, while James White added 101 yards on 19 carries and another touchdown.

Joel Stave had an up and down day, completing 17 of 28 passes for 241 yards and 3 touchdowns, but 2 interceptions.  Jared Abbrederis caught a 63 yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, but left the game with a head injury later in the first half.  Following the game, Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen said he expected Abbrederis to be able to play next week, when the Badgers head to Illinois.
