Gamblers Fall in Shootout

Cedar Rapids wins the shootout 2-1, beating Green Bay.
Heading into Saturday night's matchup, Green Bay trailed Cedar Rapids by five points in the Eastern Conference standings. The Rough Riders struck first with Mitch Maloney scoring at the 7:46 mark. Green Bay tied it up about four minutes later with Matthew Weis' 13th goal of the season. The game remained tied up at 1-1. When no one scored in overtime the two teams went to a shoot-out. Alec Marsh and Andrew Poturalksi both netted goals for Cedar Rapids. Only Nick Schmaltz scored for Green Bay. So Cedar Rapids wins 2-1.
