Connecticut finished an improbable run to the NCAA Tournament title on Monday night, defeating Kentucky, 60-54 in Arlington, Texas.
The first #7 seed to even make it to the championship game, UCONN captured their program's fourth title in the past 15 years, and their first under second-year head coach Kevin Ollie.
The Huskies' title comes one year after the program was banned from postseason play due to low academic scores. Senior leader Shabazz Napier led the way with 22 points for UCONN. He was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
