GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Stage Door Theatre Company has scheduled five productions for its third year of performances in the Studio Theatre of Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. Info:

The lineup

- “Talley’s Folly,” July 2-25. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lanford Wilson features Amy Ensign and James Valcq. The story follows the unlikely courtship of Sally Talley and her Jewish suitor, Matt Friedman. The romantic comedy is set on the Fourth of July in 1944 in a dilapidated Victorian boathouse on the Missouri River.

- “Trick Boxing,” July 30-Aug. 24. The musical physical comedy is written, choreographed and performed by Megan McClelland and Brian Sostek. The show, which premiered at the 2002 Minnesota Fringe, is laced with rapid-fire dialogue, high-energy dance, comic puppetry and boxing – all wrapped into a love story.

- “BoomeRaging,” Aug. 26-30. Written and performed by comedian Will Durst, the show is billed as an “uproarious tribute to the joys, achievements, frustrations and looming doom of the Baby Boom Generation.”

- “Private Lives,” Sept. 4-26. The Noel Coward classic rooted in the passions of love and anger features Lee Becker and Claire Morkin. The setup: A once-married couple meets again in a hotel while on honeymoon with their new spouses.

- “The Fantastics,” Oct. 1-19. Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones’ classic musical revolves around a boy, a girl, two fathers and a wall – with the daring El Gallo around to stir the pot.

To date, the company has produced more than two dozen productions and readings of contemporary and classic plays. “This past year, our audience increased an amazing 52 percent over the previous year,” the theater reports.
