Hometown Hero: "Doc" Marty Schweiner

"Doc" Marty Schweiner was trained specifically to take care of Marines in combat as a corpsman and was sent to Vietnam in early 1969. He would be a part of what would later be known as the Mother's Day Massacre where 27 of his fellow men were killed in action.

Marty says they are true heroes who should not be forgotten, and their story deserves to be told. Local 5's Nate Stewart has their story and Marty's in this week's Hometown Hero.
