APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Earth Day is fast approaching, and the Building for Kids in Appleton is pulling out all the stops to celebrate.

The children's museum is helping teach kids all about Earth Day through a variety of different activities. Kids can make bird feeders out of Cheerios, a recycled paper bead necklace, and an Earth Day scavenger hunt. Officials say the event is a great way to teach kids how to be resourceful.

Earth week lasts until April 22, which is Earth Day itself.
