FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) - The Fond du Lac fire department is investigating the cause of an early morning fire at the Hometown Harbor Apartments.

Firefighters got the call about three Friday morning. Four apartments in the 12-unit building were damaged by smoke, heat and water. It's believed the fire started on the second floor.

Firefighters say no one was hurt in the fire, and the Red Cross is helping the residents that have been displaced. The cause is under investigation.
