GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Green Bay police plan to release the findings of their investigation into an aggressive arrest made by Officer Derek Wicklund at a news conference Tuesday morning.

The investigation was prompted by cell phone video taken by a bystander outside of a downtown Green Bay bar and posted online. It appears to show Officer Wicklund aggressively subduing a man, taking him to the ground and hitting him repeatedly.

The department launched an internal investigation immediately after the April 19th incident. Officials then asked the Wisconsin Department of Justice to investigate. The DOJ completed its review of the use of force tactics by Officer Wicklund on July 1st. According to state statute, Officer Wicklund had 12 days to review the documents.

The results will be released at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Count on Local 5 for continuing coverage throughout the day.
