ALLOUEZ, Wis. (WFRV) - "Little House on the Prairie" fans had a chance celebrate the show's 40th anniversary with some of their favorite characters today.

Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Oleson, Lucy Lee Flippen, who played Eliza Jane, and Hersha Parady, who played Mrs. Garvey, appeared at Heritage Hill State Park to meet fans during Laura Ingalls Wilder days.

Fans were also able to relive their favorite moments from the show. The actors say the show remains popular, decades after it ended.

"They're lined up wall deep here, and we're just going through pictures, signing pictures and I have my book here, and the response has been incredible," Arngrim says. "It happens whenever we turn up because people cannot get enough of this show."

The show had more than 200 episodes and ran from 1974 until 1983.
