Aquila Resources takes us on a tour of the back forty mine project

Stephenson - Aquila Resources wants to mine for gold, copper, zinc and silver in a proposed open pit mine that would be 150 feet from the Menominee River in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Over the past years Local 5 has reported on protests, the Menominee Tribe's sacred walk and a number of meetings, this week the Menominee County board voted 5-4 to officially take a stance against the back forty project.

In this story we took a tour of Aquila's proposed mine site, Dave Anderson, the Director of Environment and Jeff Lynott the Director of Exploration and Geography shared their side of the story.
