Area schools participate in International Walk to School Day

LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. - Wednesday morning, over 70 area schools will join over 4,400 schools worldwide for International
Walk to School Day.

Parents, students, school administrators, and community members will all walk together for the event.

It's all to raise awareness for the need to create safer walking and bicycling routes for school children, and the importance of staying active.

Many area schools participating are offering student participants prizes for taking part in the event, including:

  • Richmond Elementary School in Appleton 
  • Little Chute Elementary in Little Chute 
  • Hoover Elementary School in Neenah  
  • St. Margaret Mary School in Neenah  
  • Immanuel Lutheran School in Greenville
  • Hortonville Elementary in Hortonville
