Although the weather cleared up right when practice started, Monday’s training camp workout was moved inside the Don Hutson Center due to the morning rain.

Tramon Williams returned to the field for the first time since suffering a bone bruise on his knee on July 28th.  Williams was a limited participant in the non-padded practice.  He said he is hopeful to return in time for the regular season opener on September 8th in San Francisco.

The team must cut down to 75 players by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.  They’re now at 84 after the release of kicker Giorgio Tavecchio prior to Monday’s practice.

Zach Ramirez, signed on Sunday, will now be the challenger to incumbent Mason Crosby in the race to be Green Bay’s placekicker.  Mike McCarthy did say following practice that he still considers Tavecchio part of the kicking competition, however, and there is a scenario where they could bring him back.

Aaron Rodgers may not play much, if at all, in Thursday’s pre-season finale against the Chiefs in Kansas City.  The Green Bay quarterback spent much of Monday’s practice running the scout team, and throwing off to the side to Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb, who each returned to the practice field on Sunday.  Rodgers mentioned after practice that getting every practice rep possible is critical.

The Packers will have one final open practice of training camp.  It will take place Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Nitschke Field.
