Green Bay (WFRV)  Cheese curds are a Wisconsin staple.  We even use cheese to melt the snow on our roads.

And curds were the star of Cheese Curdfest at  Joannes Stadium saturday.

Cheese vendors set up in the outfield and residents could sample the different types of curds-- from deep fried to fresh.

There were also plenty of fun family entertainment like a petting zoo.

The Green Bay Bullfrogs put on the free event as a way to say thank you to fans.

Fans could even vote on the best cheese curd.

Dykesville Bowl won the best deep fried curd and the People's choice.  The Dog Haus won best fresh curd.  While the most unique curd went to Green Bay Distillery

The bullfrogs are planning more events at Joannes Stadium during the off season.  The next one is Oktoberfest on September 16th.
