Down Syndrome Awareness Walk in Neenah's Riverside Park

NEENAH, Wis. - People will be walking for a good cause next weekend in the Fox Cities to raise awareness and money for a local chapter of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin. 

Angela West, who is a spokesperson for the walk, joined Chelly Boutott on Local Five this Sunday Morning.

So far, the chapter has raised $40,000 online. The group expects to raise $100,000 by the end of the event.  

The money will go to programs and services to support people with down syndrome.  

The event will be on Saturday, October 7th at Riverside Park in Neenah.  

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 2 p.m.  

Anyone is welcome to come on the day of the walk. Extra t-shirts will be available.
