Former Gilligan's Island star helps fight Autism in northeast Wisconsin

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV)--A blast from T.V.'s past is helping in the fight against autism here in northeast Wisconsin.

 Dawn Wells-- better known as Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island is taking part in the rock for autsim event at Liners Bar and Grill in Neenah Saturday.

 She is one of many celebrities and bands that are raising funds to get iPads and apps to help children living with autism.

Headlining the event was the Bodeans.

 They took the stage at 8:30 but the music kept going until after midnight.

"iPads & apps can tremendously with autistic kids. They can help them with communication, behaviorial issues, scheduling their day, all kinds of things that help them function in the real world," said Wells.
