GREEN BAY, WIS. (WFRV) - The Green Bay Area School District says Preble high school will be ready to start the school year on September 15th.
As you may recall, Preble high school was severely damaged by a fire in the gymnasium a week ago.
District officials say parents will be able to register their kids for the school year on Thursday September 11th and Friday September 12th.
Registration will be held in the Preble Commons on Thursday, September 11 from 4 - 8 p.m., and on Friday, September 12, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Teachers will also have work days on the 10th and 11th to prepare their classrooms.
Preble and District administrators are finalizing plans to make up the required instructional minutes. Considerations for the plan include:
Least disruptive to students, families and staff.
Maintains the District’s high expectations for academic success at Preble High School.
Avoids using weekends and holidays to make-up time.
Results in no changes to end of the school year dates: last day of school remains June 10, 2015 (June 4 for seniors) and tentative graduation date of June 10, 2015.
