Green Bay Redevelopment Authority votes to continue fight against rats

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Green Bay Redevelopment Authority has made moves to help eradicate Green Bay's rat problem.

Rats have taken over the city in some parts, often burrowing under homes and garages in the community. Both Brown County and Green Bay have each committed to spending $5,000 to alleviate the infestation.

Tuesday, the Redevelopment Authority voted to spend and additional $7,500 towards their fight. The money will be used to fund a part-time inspector who will spend 30 weeks visiting properties and teaching homeowners how to clean up their yards so rats do not move in.
