FOND DU LAC - A large ice shove shuts down the Fond Du Lac Yacht Club for several hours Friday night.
The ice climbed past the roof line of the yacht club and piles of ice towered 12 to 15 feet
"Snow and ice started piling up against the building and the first thing you think of is let's get people out," Fond Du Lac Yacht Club Director, Randy Veesar said. The building was evacuated and Vessar made phone calls to local contractors for help.
" I found a contractor that was actually able to come out they brought in a traco and a big front end loader. They were able to start and remove the ice and snow," Vessar said. The ice is stable now. No one was injured during this incident.
