Knigge Farm finds success in robotic milking

-

OMRO, Wis. (WFRV) - A Winnebago County dairy farm has taken milking cows to a whole new level.

The Knigge Farm was the first in the United States to use robotic milking machines for its dairy cows.

The machines are manufactured by Lely. "Every time a cow is milked, we get 150 different points of data from each cow," said Charlie Knigge, Dairy Farmer at Knigge Farm.

Knigge Farm also uses robotic feeders for their calves and even has a robotic sweeper, pushing feed closer to the cows.
