OUTAGAMIE CO., Wis. (WFRV) - Several counties across the State are taking part in what's called a "Dark Sky" exercise tomorrow around 7 a.m.
The exercise will help prepare Emergency Management Officials for what might happen if there is a massive power outage or natural gas shortages in Wisconsin.
Robert Olsen, an Emergency Management Specialist in Outagamie County says that exercises will start at 7:15 a.m. and will start as a mass causality incident followed by other incidents.
This will help test response abilities for local responders as well as federal responders.
This exercise will not affect the public, all electricity and natural gas will stay on throughout the day.
However, residents in Omro will have the National Guard going door-to-door for welfare and health checks. If you are from Omro and would like to opt out of this exercise, please call 211.
