Local gun expert explains what a bump stock does

GREEN BAY,Wis. - Owner of Family Shooting Academy Mike Shea talks about what a bump stock does.

"It simulates an increase in the rate of fire. It allows the gun to bounce between your shoulder and the trigger  finger and bouncing in between the two -- it makes you pull the trigger faster,"Owner of Family Shooting Academy Mike Shea said.

Shea doesn't carry the 400 dollar accessory in his store and adds he's only sold one during his whole six years in business.
" We don't see a big market for bump fire stocks in fact we've never carried them in our store," Shea said.

Both Senator Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin issued statements saying they are open to legislation banning bump stocks.

Thursday afternoon the NRA issued a statement saying they would be reviewing regulations on this device.
