GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV)--Many people trying to sign up for insurance Monday couldn't get past the "please wait screen."
“You can’t get any further," said Brittany Teresinski.
At Partnership Community Health Center in Appleton they had to turn away dozens of patients eager to sign up for insurance because of the website glitches.
With the deadline to sign up closing in they say it’s frustrating.
“Especially today. This is really important for individuals that haven’t even started anything yet. You need to get in the system. This is technically the last day to enroll if you haven’t at least started an application process," said Teresinski.
The deadline to complete an application has been extended to April 7th, but you have to attest that you’ve attempted to sign up by 11 o’clock tonight.
So what should you do if you can’t log on?
"We’re telling everybody to just hold on. We’re trying to make our best effort to get people to at least determine them," said Maria Vargas.
As problems continue to plague the website, staff at Partnership worry about enrolling people in time.
“We’re already working overtime and I have a feeling we’re going to have to make some adjustments and work later hours," Teresinski said.
To help accommodate the influx of people they have extended their hours and are now open on Saturday from 9-12 p.m.
