(WFRV) GREEN BAY, Wis. - The On Broadway, Inc. Winter Wine Walk is expanding this year to include beer samples. Every Friday through December 15 shoppers are invited to Downtown Green Bay's Broadway district to sip, shop and give back to those in need.
On Broadway, Inc. Marketing and Events Manager Chelsea Kocken, A Bag Lady store manager Jill Zelzer and Compassionate Home Health Care Representative Dawn Paradiso-Hansen joined Brittany Falkers on Local 5 This Morning head of the first of three events Friday.
"The Winter Wine & Beer Walk is a spin-off of the Winter Wine Walk events that On Broadway has been doing for a few years. We discovered a new rule within the wine walk legislation that caused us to adapt and have a blend of wine and beer samplings," Kocken said. "The feedback for the change has been well received and will please both beer and wine lovers."
Over 20 Broadway businesses will be participating in this year’s event. Participants will purchase their punch cards and then have the evening to explore the Broadway district has they wish while stopping at the shops and restaurants listed for a sample or either wine or beer from a local winery or brewery.
On Broadway, Inc. has partnered with Compassionate Home Health Care’s Annual Giving Campaign to help encourage donations during the holiday season. This organization works to put together hundreds of gift baskets for the elderly and disabled that will provide them with personal care and cleaning products.
Find a full list of items that are needed on our website at onbroadway.org. Anyone who brings a donation will be entered into a separate drawing for a $50 gift card each night.
