Open house shows how an alpaca farm runs

DE PERE, Wis. - From scarves to socks, you can make many different warm and fashionable products out of alpaca fleece.

And there is an event coming up that will show you how it is done.

That's the Shillcox Shamrock Lines Alpaca Farm Open House in De Pere.

Mark Shillcox, Jeslyn Andrews, and Addison Klubertanz joined Chelly Boutott on Local Five this Morning along with Starbucks and Queen Ayma the alpacas.

The open house is on Sunday, October 1 at Shillcox Shamrock Lines Alpaca Farms, 5118 Heritage Road (County Road X), in De Pere.

There is no cost to tour the farm, feed the animals listen to some nice music, have some popcorn and lemonade, watch the spinners and new this year, face painting for the kids.

The Booyah Shed will be serving for food for purchase and alpaca products will be for sale.
