Shawano armed robbery suspect remains at large

The male suspect allegedly robbed a Maurices with a handgun

SHAWANO, Wis. (WFRV) - A suspect remains at large Friday after a Shawano retail store was robbed just after seven Thursday night, according to police. 

The Shawano Police Department responded to the Maurices at 170 Woodlawn Drive for a report of an armed robbery. 

A male suspect forced his way into the front of the store as an employee was locking the door to close for the night, police said. 

The male suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the employee to give him money. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Police describe the suspect as a Caucasian male, in his late 20's or early 30's, about six-feet-tall. 

The suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt and dark denim jeans along with a ski mask. 

Nobody was injured in this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
