Sheboygan County rescues a large number of dogs from local kennel

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. -

During the raid of Kinship Kennels in Sheboygan County thirty seven dogs were recovered.

Law enforcement also found other grim discoveries such as,  30-40 dead dogs inside two freezers on the property.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff says this is the most extreme case he has seen.

The kennel is located in the Township of Wilson and has been on the department's radar since 2015.

Due to lack of evidence in the past the police were not able get a search warrant for the property. Last week the department received enough credible information about animal neglect and were granted a search warrant.

Initially the dogs were taken to the Sheboygan Humane Society and received treatment.

The Sheboygan County  District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and will not release  names of the parties involved until they have finished the case review.

it s going to be a long road for these dogs. currently they are not available for adoption. You can help by dropping off toys and food at the Sheboygan Humane Society.
