Six hospitalized in Buchanan intersection collision

BUCHANAN - Six people -- including five teens -- were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Monday in the Town of Buchanan.

At approximately 11:50 a.m., the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash at the intersection of County Trunk Highways GG and Z. A vehicle with five juveniles traveling north on GG failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a pickup truck driving westbound on Z.

The five juveniles in the northbound car were sent to Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah with life-threatening injuries. The Jaws of Life were used to free four of the teens trapped inside the car.

The 24-year-old woman driver of the pickup truck was taken to Theda Care in Appleton for non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
