(Ashwaubenon, WI) June 11, 2014 - The Bay Park Square Mall location of Regis Salon will host a fundraiser to support St. Baldrick's Foundation, an organization that aims to support children who suffer from cancer, on Thursday, June 19 from 4 to 7 p.m.

The salon's team of dedicated stylists will donate their time to shave volunteers' heads for a five dollar donation. Store manager Marissa Scheffel said she hopes to raise $1,000 this year-nearly three times last year's total of $337.

"So many of us here at Regis have been touched by childhood cancer, whether due to a friend or family member's diagnosis, or through one of our clients' experiences," said Scheffel. "We are dedicated to doing our part to support St. Baldrick's in their efforts to cure this terrible disease."

The fundraiser will be conducted in honor of Anthony Perdue, a Green Bay teen who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in December of 2012. He was treated at St. Vincent Hospital, and is currently cancer-free.

"We are very happy that Regis Salon shows the same dedication to the community that all of us at Bay Park Square feel," said Stephanie Blavat, director of marketing and business development at Bay Park Square. "We are proud to support them."
