Update: Victims identified in deadly house fire

Lena, Wis. (WFRV) - UPDATE: 5/16/2018

Police have released the names of the victims in the fire. They are identified as 47-year-old Dennis Fry and his 48-year-old wife Karen Fry. 

The investigation is ongoing.


Two people have died during an early morning house fire in the Town of Lena.

On Tuesday morning around 3:45 A.M. the Lena Fire Department, Coleman Ambulance and Oconto County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Beschta Lane for reports of a fire. 

When crews arrived they found the home engulfed in flames.

Once the fire was out firefighters found one body next to building and another body inside.

Investigators are calling the fire suspicious. 

The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the State Fire Marshall, Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Oconto County Fire Task Force, and the Oconto County Medical Examiner’s Office are conducting the investigation.
