Two injured in Highway 76 crash

TOWN OF BOVINA, Wis. (WFRV) - Outagamie County Sheriff's Department officials say they were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Highway 76 at 5:34 p.m. Thursday.

It happened at Knorr Road in the Town of Bovina.

Police say an 18-year-old woman from Shiocton driving a Chevy Cavalier was northbound on Highway 76, and went to turn on Knorr Road. She turned in front of a 43-year-old Black Creek man driving a Kia Spectra, who was traveling southbound on the highway.

The vehicles collided, nearly head-on.

Both the female and male drivers were transported by helicopter to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway remained closed in the area until just before 10:00 p.m.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
