Update: Police release name of 18-year-old killed in Oshkosh shooting

One dead, one injured in Oshkosh shooting

OSHKOSH (WFRV) - UPDATE: Oshkosh Police have identified the man who died as 18-year-old Cashmiere Hill of Appleton.

UPDATE: Oshkosh police say that the shooting resulted after a disturbance between three men.

An 18-year-old Appleton man and a 25-year-old Oshkosh man were shot and brought to the hospital.

It was there that the 18-year-old was pronounced dead.

The 25-year-old was treated for his wound and later released from the hospital. It's unclear if he's in police custody.

The Oshkosh Police Department is searching for an additional suspect involved in the shooting.

The only information they have is that he's a black male, late teens/early 20s, and potentially armed.

Police are calling this an isolated incident, and the public is not in danger.

Names are withheld pending family notification.

The investigation is ongoing, stick with Local 5 for continued updates.


The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 9:00 PM Sunday night.

Police say it happened in the 800 block of Waugoo Avenue.

Two people were taken to area hospitals with gunshot wounds. Officers were not involved in the shooting.

The extent of those injuries is not being released at this time.
