Green Bay, Wis.(WFRV)- Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt is thinking about other options for Green Bay's Downtown District.

The Green Bay City Council is just a couple weeks out from amending the Broadway District's comprehensive plan and the likely hood of Walmart moving in is up in the air. Mayor Schmitt says he hopes to use the 300-600 blocks of Broadway as a multi-use site that would blend it more seamlessly with the downtown area.

Come June of 2014, if there is no redevelopment, the city may take possession of the Old Larson Green building and also the $3 Million dollar loan that accompanies it which On Broadway Inc. took out in 2007.
