APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Appleton police say a suspect is in custody after a standoff came to an unusual ending.

Officers say it happened Tuesday evening at a home on the 3100 block of N. Durkee st.

Appleton police were trying to arrest 20-year-old Lee Pitts of Appleton on several felony charges.

He was found in an attic inside the duplex, then he and several officers fell through the ceiling as Pitts resisted arrest.

He was taken to a local hospital to get treated for some minor injuries and is now in Outagamie county jail.
