WASHINGTON, D.C. (WFRV) For many Veterans, a special journey to Washington, D.C. brought back memories of war.

The sight and sound of a Huey helicopter at the Smithsonian Institute made some recall the rice paddies and jungles of Vietnam.

The journey, called "Yellow Ribbon Honor Flight", was put on by Old Glory Honor Flight. It was a special way to say thank you to our service members who sacrificed so much.
