Oconto County man sentenced to life in prison

OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - An Oconto County man convicted in a 1998 murder will spend life in prison without parole.

Last March, 52-year-old Peter Hanson was taken into custody in connection with the death of 19-year-old Chad McLean. He was charged and found guilty in December in this cold case from 15 years ago, and today he was sentenced.

McLean was shot to death in February of 1998. His body was found in the Pensaukee River near Abrams.
