Oshkosh Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

- OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - The streets of Oshkosh were green with cheer Saturday afternoon as the city put on its annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

Folks gathered from near and far to take in the music and sights, all in celebration of Irish heritage.

In addition to the parade people got to enjoy children's contests and authentic Irish music.

For many, it was a great opportunity to get out and spend time with loved ones.

Parade goer Matt Liese said, "This is the second year we've come to it. I don't know how many years it's been on, but we came last year. It's much nicer weather today. We just enjoy it, just spending time with the family."

This is the second annual parade and it serves as a fundraiser for the Oshkosh Irish Fest in June.
