GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been named to this year's Pro Bowl.

Lacy replaces Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson for the game, who is unable to play because of lingering injuries.

The rookie running back set franchise rookie records for rushing yards (1,178), rushing touchdowns (11), and rushing attempts (284). Lacy also tied the team's rookie mark for 100-yard rushing games with four. He finished 8th among all players in rushing yards, and 3rd among all players in rushing touchdowns.

Lacy is the first Packer running back to be named to the Pro Bowl since John Brockington in 1971, and the first Packer running back to be selected for the honor since Packers Hall of Fame back Ahman Green in 2004.
