OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) - It's been a rainy month across northeast Wisconsin, but one city has been hit particularly hard.

The City of Oshkosh has now received more than 10 inches of rain in June, that's more than two and a half times the monthly average. To put that in perspective, Green Bay has received less than 4 inches this month.

If the current totals hold, this month will rank 4th all time, just under 2 inches behind the all time high set back in 2008.

Residents say the amount of rainfall has been noticeable, and has caused some headaches on local roads.

"Occasionally around the college area and the inner-city," Oshkosh resident Shane Boom says, "especially a lot of the older sewer systems that haven't been updated, I guess it will back up into the street and people will have to be careful when they're driving that they don't hit standing water."

With more rain in the forecast for Tuesday the city could get a nice start on a fresh total for the month of July.
