GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - There's been a major jump in gasoline prices the past couple of weeks. The national average is now $3.43 per gallon. Locally, we're paying around $3.49 per gallon.

Analysts say a recent spike in oil is one reason why. Another reason is gas supplies are down because this time of year, and many refineries partially shutdown for maintenance.

For drivers, it's not an easy expense to swallow, and it may be a while before they see some relief. Prices are expected to peak in may before they finally start falling back down.
