GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Austin Straubel airport is shutting down the morning of September 13th, and it's for a good cause.

The airport is holding its first ever 5-k GRB Run/Walk.

What makes this race unique is that participants will be running, or walking on the airport runway.

The race was organized with the help of Prevea Health and the Packers Alumni. It's on the same day as the Packers home opener.

"It's an opportunity, that's on the eve of an exciting season for our community to get together, celebrate what we're really about," Dr. Ashok Rai, CEO of Prevea says. "Being a family, taking care of our own, and being healthy."

There will also be a tailgate party after the race. All proceeds will benefit the Wounded Warriors fund.
