UPDATE: Man intentionally stepped out in front of semi when hit, according to police

BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Deputies say the victim in a fatal crash on Monday morning intentionally placed himself in the lane of traffic.

It happened in the westbound lane of Highway 29 just west of county highway VV.

According to the Brown County Sheriff's Office, witness statements as well as evidence, led experts to believe that the 54-year-old man stopped his truck on the side of the road and stepped into traffic.

Officials say traffic volume at the time of the incident prohibited the operator of the semi tractor involved, from moving to the left lane of traffic.
