Vigil for missing Pittsfield woman

PULASKI, Wis (WFRV) Friday marks the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of a Pittsfield woman. Friends and family held a candlelight vigil in Pulaski to boost their efforts to find her.

One year ago, 60-year old Victoria Prokopovitz simply disappeared - vanishing from her home without money, identification or a motor vehicle. Her fate is a mystery to all. Her family - determined to find out what happened.

 The last year has taken its toll on relatives. Tonight the missing woman's daughters, organized a gathering at a home in Pulaski - where balloons were released and candles lit, in memory of Victoria Prokopovitz.

Surrounded by photos of the missing woman - the family expressed hope - that keeping this case in the news will help to one day, bring them answers.

 "Holding out hope every day that she'll walk through that door," said daughter Marsh Loritz. "But sometimes it's hard to believe and have that hope. But that's what today's about - we're going to find her."

 A reward for information about Victoria's whereabouts - now stands at $2,500. If you have a tip - you are urged to contact the Brown County Sheriff's Office.
