Blizzard release head coach Robert Fuller

The Green Bay Blizzard are going in a different direction at head coach.

Robert Fuller has been relieved from his duties, a source told Local 5 on Thursday night.  The team is expected to make a formal announcement Friday.

Fuller was named the IFL's Coach of the Year in 2012, his first season with the Blizzard.  He led Green Bay to an 11-3 record and a berth in the United Conference Championship Game.

An interim coach will be named in the coming days.  Green Bay is on a bye this week, after starting the season 1-5.  They return to the Resch Center next Saturday night, when they host Tri-Cities.
