Blizzard Sign Former UW-Oshkosh QB Nate Wara

(WFRV-TV) - The Green Bay Blizzard announced Thursday in a press conference
that the team has signed QB Nate Wara from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh for
the 2014 season.

Wara joins the team after being named Division III’s 2012 Offensive Player of the
Year and named as the First Team Quarterback. In addition, he was one of four finalists
for the Gagliardi Award, which recognizes the most outstanding player in Division III

“We are excited to have Nate as part of the team and we look forward to having him
contribute to the team. He is a great athlete but above all he has great character and we
think that he will be an asset not only to the team but community as well,” stated Head
Coach Chad Baldwin.

“I’ve been given a great opportunity and look forward to what I can do to help the
make this football team the best that it can be,” stated Wara

At the University of Oshkosh, Wara was a four-year starter and played in 44 straight
games. He amassed 11,202 total yards including 8,881 passing yards and 2,321 rushing
yards. Additionally, he threw 80 touchdowns and rushed for 23 more during his
collegiate career. He finished his college career with a passer rating of 147.8.
