The Milwaukee Brewers announced Saturday that 3B Aramis Ramirez has been placed on the 15-Day Disabled List with a sprained left knee.

Ramirez injured his knee sliding into second base after a hit Friday night.  Ramirez also sprained the same knee sliding into second base during spring training.

To replace Ramirez on the roster, the Brewers recalled infielder/outfielder Josh Prince from Triple-A Nashville.  Prince is not only a former Wisconsin Timber Rattler, but also played for the Green Bay Bullfrogs in 2008.  He was drafted by Milwaukee in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft in 2009.

Prince is the first former Bullfrog player to reach Major League Baseball.

"This is a huge day for the entire Bullfrogs organization and all of our fans," team president Jeff Royle said in a statement Saturday.  "It is a very proud day for all of us, and speaks volumes to the level of baseball we have in Green Bay each summer."
