The Milwaukee Brewers were shut out by the Atlanta Braves, 5-0, on Tuesday night at Turner Field in Atlanta.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Milwaukee (27-19) who saw their lead in the N. L. Central fall to 2 1/2 games over the St. Louis Cardinals.
In the game, pitcher Yovani Gallardo sprained his left ankle after trying to leap for a chopper. He had to leave after pitching 3 2/3 innings.
Gallardo was listed as day-to-day by manager Ron Roenicke following the game.
Milwaukee and Atlanta will resume their series Wednesday night.
