From Ashwaubenon High School:

Ashwaubenon High School has hired John Miron to lead it's boy's basketball program, today.  Miron, the former head coach at Kimberly High School, replaces Kevin Phillips, who resigned in April.

Miron has been an assistant coach at Little Chute High School since 2008, assisting with leading the Mustangs to the WIAA state tournament this past season for only the 2nd time in school history.  Prior to that coaching position, he was the head coach at Kimberly High School, directing the Papermakers to two WIAA State titles in 1994 and 1995.  He led that school to fourteen WIAA Regional championships and five WIAA Sectional championships.

"I'm very excited to begin this new chapter in my coaching career," says Miron.  "Ashwaubenon is a quality school and program, which I am fortunate to now be a part of.  I truly look forward to being part of this school system."

Miron will remain a teacher at Kimberly High School.  The boy's high school basketball season in the area starts on November 11, with the first day of practice.
