State Tennis: Southwest's Allen, Notre Dame doubles team advance to semifinals

The WIAA State Boys Individual Tennis Tournament wraps up Saturday, with the final four in Division 1 and 2 singles and doubles.

In division 1 singles, Green Bay Southwest sophomore Nick Allen has won four matches over the past two days, and is in the semifinals.  Allen (26-3) will face Marquette junior Dmon Niquet for a berth in the finals on Saturday morning.

The Notre Dame doubles team of seniors Andrew Zimmermann and Brian Zak (27-1) are the area's other chance at a state title.  Zimmerman and Zak will face Scott Bauer and Alex Wolff from Madison Edgewood in Saturday morning's semifinals.
