Algoma's Kennedy Blahnik continued her great young career Friday evening, breaking her own state record in the shot put.

Blahnik, who won the discus and shot put titles as a freshman last year, setting state D-3 records in each event, added over 10 inches to her state mark in the shot put, with a toss of 47 feet, 11 inches.  Blahnik will go for the discus title on Saturday.

Blahnik's older brother Zach also won gold Friday, capturing the boys discus.  Blahnik had won the shot put the past two years, but failed to qualify in the event this year.

Other repeat champions from Friday included Alex Flucke from Ashwaubenon in the D-1 girls pole vault, the Neenah 3200 meter relay squad, and Crivitz's Jake Wiedemeier in the D-3 boys pole vault.

The state meet concludes on Saturday.  Click here for full results.
