Packers rookie Jared Abbrederis sat out of practice on Friday with what Mike McCarthy classified as a knee injury. Later in the day, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the team feared Abbrederis had torn his acl. Saturday afternoon, Abbrederis himself confirmed that report via twitter, tweeting:
"I know there has been a lot of talk going around about my injury. The acl injury was confirmed this morning and is only a small setback. It will only make me stronger, and I cannot wait to get back on the field with my team! I truly appreciate all the love and support!"
The Packers have not officially addressed the injury. Abbrederis' father wrote on facebook that Jared actually suffered the injury in practice Wednesday, but continued to practice, not seeking out a trainer until after Thursday's workout.
